A brand new Yemen Mixed Migration Task Force website was launched on 9th May, to function as a valuable resource about the mixed migration phenomena from the Horn of Africa to Yemen.
The Danish Refugee Council, Yemen MMTF member since the groups beginning in 2008, has been leading the project to design and launch the site. The site aims to inform about the work of the Yemen MMTF, which comes in response to the mixed migration taking place from Africa’s Horn to Yemen’s coastline and beyond.
Key sections of the new site include news updates, which provide snapshots of news related to mixed migration in the region. Featured stories will look more in depth at important trends and issues.
Also central to the website are a comprehensive resource library and key links, where important reports and information about mixed migration to Yemen and elsewhere can be found. New additions to the library such as the Yemen Monthly New Arrivals report are easy to find.
Background information about the work of Yemen MMTF and mixed migration itself is provided in the About Us section. Users can browse the photos section, where MMTF members upload photos of their work.
The site is intended for those concerned by mixed migration from the Horn of Africa to Yemen. This includes United Nations and NGOs, donors, embassies, governments, media, and academic institutions, as well as the public and mixed migrants themselves.
